Eve-Lyne Beaudry

Curator of Contemporary Art
Eve-Lyne Beaudry has been the Curator of Contemporary Art at MNBAQ since 2010. Her prime area of study is the museology of contemporary art, with a pronounced interest in artistic practices in Quebec from the 1960s to the present. Since 2003, she has collaborated on the production of many exhibitions and publications on contemporary art for a variety of art institutions, including Expression, Centre d’exposition de Saint-Hyacinthe, the Musée régional de Rimouski and the Musée d’art de Joliette, where she held the position of Curator of Contemporary Art from 2006 to 2010. She also curated the following exhibitions, among others: Como Como (2006), the 2nd edition of Orange, a major contemporary art event that takes place in Saint-Hyacinthe; Diane Landry: The Defibrillators (2008); Ed Pien: Haven of Delight (2008); Gisele Amantea: Sweet Dreams Hard Truths (2010); and Marie-Josée Laframboise: Network Installations (2009). Ms. Beaudry has also produced two monographs on the artist Alfred Pellan: Le Grand atelier and Le rêveur éveillé (2013 and 2014 respectively). She is currently working on developing the MNBAQ’s contemporary art collection and reorganizing it for the new museum complex, inaugurated in 2016.
